To international community and human rights (Issa community of Australia)

We plea to the international human rights to support the Somali Issa in Ethiopian especially those who live in the area of Galdmalow , Cadytuand and Khundufo as the Ethiopian Government is about to commit genocide and atrocity against the innocent people of Somali Issa of Ethiopian who have lived in these three towns for over thousands of years in peace.

Recently the Government of Ethiopian has decided to remove the native Somali Issa people by force from those three towns without consultation with the Native people that have been living in this area for over thousands of years.

The Government of Ethiopia has prevented citizens from their most basic rights such as digging toilets and, building homes and school. Access to the hospital has also been denied.

We fear that they will breach a serious human rights violation so urge that the Amnesty International intervene before the Ethiopian federal government starts to force evictions and destroy homes, making these people homeless.

This horrific act against the Somali Issa people is not justifiable by any international standards.

The Ethiopian Government’s intention is to use force to implement its plan which will lead to mass killings, genocide, extrajudicial killings and displacement of the defenceless Issa people. We Issa diaspora are concerned about the government’s treatment towards us.

We didn’t forget the massacres and genocides committed by the former Ethiopian governments such as:

This is a different topic

1       The Aisha massacre 1960 where two third of the population of that town was massacred by Haile Selassie’s forces who undiscrimintaltely killed innocent people, mostly women and children.

2       The Gueto genocide in early 1970 where the army lead by Gueto killed tens of thousands of nomad people and their livestock.

3       The Dire Dawa mass killing in 1977 which was committed by Mangustu Hail Maria’s forces

The current Federalgovernment of Ethiopia is about to commit the atrocity and massacre of the defenceless issa people. Their troops are ready and awaiting orders to allow them to use excessive force on those innocent people.

The motive behind this is to secure the access to the Djibouti port, which Ethiopia has been using as a main port, so their trade products from Djibouti pass through to Ethiopia safely.

We strongly urge The International Human’s Rights to intervene and stop the so called Ethiopian Federal Government before they decide to attack the innocent people.

Sincerely,

The Issa Community of Australia
